A re-shoot of the “Photojournalism” assignment. I only turned in the last one, but something about the other two continues to catch my eye.

Field Hockey, 9/26/10
Sports Action assignment: Better light, less familiar subject. Decent outcome.
Sync Skating 10/1/10
A theme in my grad work has so far been: ugly places with poor lighting. I don’t try to do so, but the subjects that I find happen to belong in the worst environments around. It’s a curse I’ll need to work on, and soon.
Edit Everything
Hang out while we’re under revision for ViCo 514, Publication Design. 🙂 Gotta match my resume package, y’know. How do I get rid of these damned smiley faces, and the box for tags? I’ve never once used tags. Changed the fonts and colors… header… can’t get rid of the damned […]
OUET, 10/8/10
After it was strongly suggested by multiple faculty that I revisit the equestrian team in order to make some decent photographs… I did. My specific aim was a reshoot of the sports feature assignment. So instead of the last image in the horse post below, I’ll submit one of these […]
Friday Night Light
I hear every portfolio is good for one silhouette. Took this on the Fall Wine Express in Nelsonville last night. : )
Sports
Still have two more events to shoot for this assignment, but I’m happy with things so far. I borrowed a D700 and D3X for the weekend so of course my shots are more awesome than normal. I also tend to fall in love with any sort of horse anything I […]
Emotion
The assignment last weekend was to capture an emotion. Not sure I succeeded, but I’ll have the grade on Monday.
“Home”
Drove back to Baltimore last weekend to see the boy and Jukebox the Ghost. Took some photos, but nothing worth turning in.
Photojournalism
OU’s quarter system is no joke. I’ve had no time to update here (obviously), eat, or sleep since classes began Sep 7th. That is partly my choice, as I could put ‘eh’ effort into my assignments, or at least try. I may not be in the top of the class […]
