Our first assignment in Terry’s Documentary class this quarter is a scientific prototype approach, as in, just not photojournalism. The question I have chosen to ask is: Does the price of a plate of food affect the amount eaten by a single person in a single sitting? I photographed 20 plates before and after diner contact, and ended up with something like this:
Theoretically I will do two more dinnertime shoots to either end up with diptychs like this or a regular old series of photos. We’ll show 10 images in class on Wednesday but level and quality of feedback is always questionable.
