Iceland Photographs: Reykjavík & Snæfellsnes Penninusla

If I remember correctly, Matthew and I discussed a mutual desire to visit Iceland on our very first date. During our Honeymoon along the south coast in 2017, we fell in love with the country. So when planning travel for 2019, we decided to return to Iceland, this time focusing on the west coast.

When the time to travel finally arrived, our trip had been shorted from 7 days to 5 due to rescheduling flights after WOW Air’s collapse, and adverse weather caused delays during our travel day to Iceland that cut the trip down to 4 days.

We still managed to fill our trip with natural magic and wonder. Iceland is fantastic. Take a look for yourself.

Bjarnarfoss (Bear Waterfall): Hiking all the way up is possible, but we only went about halfway in order to keep up our itinerary.

America needs to learn from Iceland when it comes to gas station and connivence store meals. My lamb schnitzel was amazing!

We took a guided tour into Vatnshellier lava cave, and it was terrifying but worth it.

Playing Bingo (it’s famously illegal) on Easter in Austurvöllur, downtown Reykjavik. It was a great way to practice my Icelandic numbers!
