First, some quotes. From Pink’s So What: “So, so what, I’m still a rock star I got my rock moves and I don’t need you And guess what, I’m havin’ more fun And now that we’re done I’m gonna show you tonight I’m alright, I’m just fine and you’re a […]

B-more, Annapolis, the Castle, the Apartment…
Untitled
Work and school are still in full force, but Drake and I are over. The weather sure is lovely, though. Funny how a beautiful day makes you appreciate the small things. Like never regretting a dramatic green wall. Or that flowers are even better through a macro filter. Or a […]
Signs of Life
After several phone calls, $80, and some re-wiring, my scanner works. I probably should have purchased a new one, but its too late now. I’ve been all too busy with work, school, trying to find health insurance, and trying to get assignments from The Capital to have any sort of […]
Tradition, Tradition!
Year-in-review (stolen from last year’s post; many answers remain the same). 1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before? — Worked as a manager, quit a job, seriously paid bills, stole from work, been so poor I ate food customers left at work… worked as a […]
Stuff that Happens
Finals are over. 3/4 grades are in. Drake and I went to Assateague with some of his friends over the weekend to celebrate. I’ve wanted to go to Assategue since discovering Marguerite Henry in my youth, so basically, my life is complete now. I’m surviving extended mall hours in the […]
Self-Actualization
Since I feel the need to prove that I’m actually doing something somewhat creative and productive with my life, here are a couple more photos. Clearly I’m doing a little more with the juxtaposition of toys and reality, this time employing the boyfriend as an assistant because there are some […]
Day Four and More
Holy crap life moves fast. Suddenly I’m working (basically) 9-5 seven days a week. Six weeks ago I had a job that made me physically ill, a boyfriend who bothered me for reasons I couldn’t pin-point, and began thinking that I would never break into the world of journalism. Now […]
<3 Annapolis
Sarah and I ventured downtown after I got home from work, only to find Paint Annapolis almost over, and both of us busy during their exhibition tomorrow. As an alternative, I followed her around. We sat and admired the ducks (and boats) together. And I did some wandering of my […]
Classes Ensue
Digital Photography went from a shooting course with one of my favorite professors to electronic media with a brand new professor. Our first assignment is to shoot 100 photos and from them make a composite that represents our vision of the future. Sigh. But here are some of my favorites.
I LOVE THIS PLACE
Me, to Bob: “I’ll drop by tomorrow at 3. I just need you to read over my goal sheet (they’re really simple goals, I promise) and sign that we can achieve them. The other is a packet saying basically I will actually be doing work and not picking up your dry cleaning that just needs one signature. Also, Brian asked me to set up a shrine for him somewhere near his old desk. I said that probably wasn’t going to happen.” Bob, to me: “OK, great. Say, on your way in, would you mind stopping by Admiral Cleaners on Taylor Ave and…….. (Just a joke, I swear). –BobG.” Also, I love four-hour computer classes that are basically self-study. Not really, but I do appreciate the internet. Hopefully this will give me enough time throughout the semester to set up a real professional site, […]
