Old-Time music is a type of pre-radio folk music that grew out of Southern Appalachia, and characteristically uses fiddle and banjo as main instruments. The term fiddle can actually refer to any bowed stringed instrument, though here it is the modern violin played in folk style. One may argue that the instrument in the logo picture is a violin due to the lack of fine tuners, but in reality, I use it for both classical orchestral music as well as old-time and Celtic fiddling.

This project was produced in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master of Arts degree from the School of Visual Communication at Ohio University in 2012.
