photograph by Darcy Smith They call me Heather. I share a birthdate, May 11, with my father, Irving Berlin, and Salvador Dali (among others). I hail, originally, from southern California, and more recently from central Mayrland.

In May 2007 I earned a dual BA from Susquehanna University in English (literature) and Music (violin). Realizing that these degrees are, in fact, useless in the real world, and having spent the vast majority of my savings on said eduacation, I have enrolled full time at the local community college. There I study photography, where I will eventually graduate with an Associates, providing I can balance school, work, and life for several more semesters.

I currently work full time in the gift shop at Medieval Times Baltimore/Washington DC, after deciding that helping to manage the The Picture People Annapolis was not worth my time. As if that wasn't enough, I also spend time teaching violin and viola to a select few. My aspirations beyond this include working as a photojournalist, eventually earning a couple more degrees, and probably teaching at the undergraduate level.

I also hope to live forever, because that's really the only way I'll get through my reading list. One day, I'd like to have a dog named Toaster.

My weaknesses include but are not limited to: Arthurian legend, Sherlock Holmes, buffalo wings, CSI, Neil Gaiman, Danny Elfman, Nixon in China, root beer floats, Trading Spaces, Elric of Melniboné, scrap book-ing, and (of course) anything photography.

As a self-proclaimed big-hipped, freckled love goddess, I'm worth $1,991,660. Facebook me. Contact me this way or that.

If you're really hankering for information you have many options, such as my weblog, portfolio, and collective. -- 9/7/2008
