This was my first shoot with the affectionately named Underhound Railroad, an operation of Friends of the Shelter Dogs. Volunteers from Athens County take dogs from the kill shelter here and foster them, vet them, and drive them until they get verifiable nice new homes. Brooke, this Beagle, went to Minnesota on Thursday.
Eventually this will turn into an audio slideshow, my final project for Audio Reportage. My challenge is to come up with a compelling story on volunteers/ism instead of an adorable puppy story.
