A Week Late

As is tradition, I give you:

I am thankful for the ability to say “no” to fear, however difficult that becomes.

I am thankful for the opportunity and wealth to go through graduate school.

I am thankful for the boyfriend who has become an amazingly (positively) integral part of my life.

I am thankful for a never-ending sense of curiosity.

I am thankful for everything sugar-free. Nom nom nom.

I am thankful for automatic spell check, especially on “Formal.”

I am thankful for the training that allows me to know when spell check and professors are not as correct as they seem.

I am thankful to have found employment, be it only minimum wage for 4 weeks.

I am thankful for a marginally useful set of eyes, and the DSLR that enhances them.

I am thankful for hands and feet and all working parts.

I am thankful for my family, whether they care or not.

I am thankful for farmers’ markets, supplying me with fresh, affordable, beautiful food.

I am thankful for friends who constantly and gently remind me of who I am, and what I could be.

I am thankful for my mind, still sharp after years of vacillating between creative and analytical functions.

I am thankful for creative minds of times past, who give me inspiration and drive.

I am thankful for a sense of humor that allows me to enjoy the little things in life.

I am thankful for wireless internet, but not so much for smart phones.

I am thankful for a working immune system, rather than university “illness and injury insurance.”

Lastly I am thankful, as always, for the many homes and arms I have been welcomed into throughout my life.
